AUTUMN LEAFS...

Autumn is well here and its getting colder.

Mostly in the early mornings and when the sun goes down. 

We have had lots of sunny days with clear blue skies.

During the day the temperature is around +16C.

Coming from Sweden they ask me how I can be cold in our NZ winter as its pretty mild.

But Im guessing our bodies just adjusts to the climate we are in.

In Sweden our winters where im from it gets as cold as -15C, now thats cold !!

It even hurts when you breath ! haha

Our leafs from our trees in our garden are now falling, and what you see is just from one week!

Cant even see our lawn!

Arrghh... its such a mission to get rid of, and its sticky too !

Sticks very nicely to our doggies fur so we also have a lil garden inside the house now haha.

And if we dont get rid of it quick enough it actually burns our grass, not good.

Much better !

But it will all be back again in a weeks time when the rest of the leafs has fallen

....arrghhh.

Happy Easter !!

Feels sooo good to be off work for a few days.

That "storm" the news was talking about never came?!

Instead we are having glorious warm sunshine and clear blue skies, so big yay for that !

Off to a bbq now in the sunshine !

Picked these lovely fresh vegetables from our garden this morning :)

MONDAY SUNSHINE

Good morning Monday !

Woke up to this beautiful sunshine today hearing the cicadas in the garden.

Took today off work...still not well and im soooo tired.

So chilling out at home with my two lil rascals Ollie & Bella :)

Morning sun....

 Trees are still green ! 6 more weeks and all their leaves will fall...and thats not gonna be fun to crate :/

 My yellow peppers has finally started to kick off growing...

think we planted few too many ? haha

 Cheeky Bella...her favourite place to sleep, behind our sofa cushions, which btw are daily all over the floor when I normally get home from work !

Keeping me company today being lazy on my couch watching TV ;)

THE WEEKEND

Hope everybody had a good weekend !

I spent some relaxing time mostly at home, chilling out in our garden, visiting few friends and eating lots of food. I so need to start exercising !

Went to the sunday vegetable market too for some fruit and veggies, so much cheaper there then buying from the normal foodstore !

 ...at the market....

 so much fruit !!

 ..got this Japanese money tree from the market..lets now hope it will bring in some more luck and money into our home !

 ...went to the garden centre and got some wild flowers to plant in a basket...

my cat being curious :)

 ..had this basket lying around so thought I plant the flowers in it..

 ....lined it with some plastic sheets...

 ..and voila !

 ....read my fav magazine :)

 ..Bella chilling in her sandpit, she loves it haha..

 ..and playing with the cat ! These two are crazy together, pretty funny to watch :)

 Our vegetable garden :)  Finally starting to kick off growing. We have hardly had any sun so growing very slow.

We have planted: Pumpkin, cucumber, rhubarb, sage, dill, parsley, coriander, thyme, chives, mint, basil, tomatoes, rocket, salad, potatoes, chilli, capsicums, onion, peas, onions, sweetcorn and some lovely sunflowers :)

We have the biggest plum tree in our garden that I have ever seen !

Not the safest way to pick them hehe , but we have to reach them somehow :)

FULL HOUSE

Been dog sitting our friends 2 adorable lil Mini Schnauzers Heidi & Schultzy for the last two nights while their owners went away on a mini holiday.

4 doggies (and a cat) running around the house and outside the garden ..madness..haha

Plenty of muddy paws inside and on top of our white duvet covers !

..hello bleach..

First night I only got 2 hours sleep..on the couch..

...think they got bit confused why they were sleeping at our home...so they decided to stay up instead !

Its been fun :)

Flowers..

Look at the beautiful hydreangears I hand picked today while I was walking our doggies this evening....so pretty !

.... my flowers in my hanging baskets have now finally started to bloom :-)

Gardening...

Beautiful sunny warm weekend we had! Did a trip to our local plantbarn and got some flowers to plant in our hanging baskets by our house entrance. They will be all white when they bloom. Got some basil and red pepper plants too.

Sweet yellow and chilli peppers that i have planted...twice now..as my doggies already had a play with it hehe..but its growing now and will plant them out shortly.

These are our amazing BIG trees in our garden. I always wake up round 5am by the birds singing. So beautiful when they are green, but another story in autum when the leafs fall !
